A Traveler's Prayer

O Father, who didst Abram call
To leave his father's earthly hall
And led him, though he did not know
The land to which Thou bad'st him go,
Teach us to likewise follow Thee
In all, although we here don't see.

O Christ, who wandered near and far,
The earth Thy bed, Thy roof a star,
But lived in all these things content
With whatsoe'er Thy Father sent,
Teach us to likewise always live
In thanks for what Thou dost us give.

O Spirit, who our hearts dost guide
Into all truth, therein t'abide,
Make us to know that all our ways
Are guided by Thee all our days,
And in that truth to comfort take
That nothing evermore can shake.

Thoughts

I have lived at Snow Mountain Ranch in Granby, CO for the past four months. I have made many friends; now I must leave them. This is my prayer for them all: that God will guide them, and that one day we shall meet again and never leave.
